Rob planned on proposing to Maureen in a romantic restaurant in downtown Manassas where he had everything all ready for the big moment. There was a table set aside from everything else and the restaurant knew he was going to pop the question as well. All Rob had to do was bring the ring and the girl (Maureen) and put his plan in motion. This was definitely a big moment since Rob (in his own words) was wearing “decent pants” (Rob prefers to wear shorts or jeans. Rob is a “man’s man” if you will).
With “decent pants” on and a heart full of bravado, Rob’s big mission ended before they even got to the restaurant. See, Rob couldn’t contain himself and proposed to Maureen right on the spot when he picked her up at her house. There was no way Maureen could say no given Rob was wearing “decent pants” so their romantic surprise engagement dinner became a romantic-celebration-of-a-surprise-engagement-before-the-romantic-surprise-engagement-dinner-dinner.
Maureen and Rob were really easy to photograph. I let them gab away with each other and just mosied around taking pics of them. The US Botanic Gardens as a backdrop helped a lot as well. Congrats Maureen and Rob!
