They first met while in school in Texas. Years later, without realizing they were both living in the DC area, they bumped into each other one day at the Pentagon City Metro station. It looks like God’s timing was perfect because Simone and Phillip are two of the most loving people we’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. Tears were shed when Simone called her grandfather who was unable to make the wedding. Tears were shed again when Phillip described how much he loved Simone. A trademark laugh Simone’s friends have heard hundreds of times sounded almost the same but had its own little harmony; That was Simone’s mom’s laughing, providing many friends an “aha” moment upon the realization that Simone’s laugh and bubbly personality came from her mom. This was a truly memorable and beautiful wedding, not because of the decorations (which were indeed beautiful) but because of the couple, Simone and Phillip.
